While TradeCurrent is a newly established company based in the UK, our roots in international trade run deep. We are backed by the strength and legacy of our parent company, Phoenix Trading Co. Ltd, a trusted name in Japan and Asia for over 20 years.

Phoenix Trading was founded by Toshio Suzuki, a respected figure in the industry and former CEO of one of Japan’s largest fisheries. Under his leadership, Phoenix built long-standing relationships across Asia and supplies clients that include major corporations listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange — a testament to the company’s reputation for quality, integrity, and professionalism.

TradeCurrent was formed to expand that legacy and bring it closer to clients worldwide — offering enhanced confidence through a UK-registered business, local compliance, and secure business practices. All transactions are conducted through our official business bank account, reinforcing transparency and trust at every level.

Our leadership team brings a blend of international experience and deep industry knowledge:

• Myles Boardman, Director, has worked with Phoenix Trading for the past 9 years, liaising with clients and visiting key partners across China and Southeast Asia. At trade current his focus is client facing with a full operational focus.
• Satomi Suzuki, Director, is the daughter of Toshio Suzuki. With a wealth of experience in supply chain and logistics management, she plays a central role in TradeCurrent’s operations, working closely with manufacturers, forwarding companies and Asian clientele.
